The film below was shot at the cane farm owned by Bob and Deneice Angus at Netherdale, Queensland.
It includes footage of Bob and Deneice and their boys Gregg, Trevor, and Shane as well as Betty, Charlie and Brett Christensen (that would be me).
It also features Glen Angus driving the cane harvester and haul-out tractor as well as a special guest appearance by the one and only Jim Forrest.
After they finished their travels around Australia in the late 1970s, Betty and Charlie stayed at the farm for a time before moving to Eungella Dam to live.
The film was taken during that stay.

Tech Notes
The original film was shot in colour but had a strong purple cast because of its age and deterioration. I was unable to bring back much of the colour or remove the purple cast even using Davinci Resolve’s outstanding colour correction software. So I opted to convert the footage to monochrome. But, thankfully, the monochrome conversion actually increased the clarity of the footage and gave it a real lift.

Absolutely wonderful job Bretty we are enjoying these so much .❤️
Thanks, Jan!
